Qurius plans to acquire Cabus Holding Gmbh (Cabus), a top-5 player in the German Microsoft Dynamics market. Cabus has about 140 employees and offices in Hamburg (head office), Bremen, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Lubeck and Nurnberg. Its profitable 2006 turnover was over 15 million euro, including the consolidated figures of three smaller participations.
“Joining Qurius offers us the opportunity to upgrade our position in the market to the next level” says Kay Laukat, co-founder and Managing Director of Cabus. “Together with the existing Qurius organization and Wilhelm + Zeller we will have a team of almost 300 professionals covering all German regions and a large part of the relevant verticals.”
Good coverage on regions, product lines and verticals
“Acquiring both Cabus and Wilhelm + Zeller (W+Z) would add another European country to the list of countries where we are able to play a dominant role in the Microsoft market for Business Applications. Cabus, W+Z and Qurius have complementary focuses on regions and product market combinations (PMC’s), therefore we expect a smooth integration of all of our German activities. Economies of scale, especially in the smaller offices should lead to further improvement of profit ratios as well”, says Qurius director Tom Stolk, responsible for the international business. Both parties aim to conclude the transaction after the summer period. Part of the transaction price will depend on 2007 results.
