Since its establishment in 1990 in Hamburg, CABUS has consistently committed itself to one task: providing business solutions to small and medium-sized companies.

In an environment in which information technology is becoming increasingly more complex and changing more rapidly, we continue to concentrate on our core business. For several years now, we have been an expert contact for our customers and our most important software provider, Microsoft. This concentration and expertise has won us a whole range of awards which we are particularly proud of:

Expertise for the customer
With its corporate structure, CABUS is focusing consistently on its industry expertise that has crystallised over the years, primarily in the areas of services, wholesale and export, retail, manufacturing and shipping, transport & traffic. For each of these industry segments, a separate division was formed within the company that bundles employees’ industry expertise. As a result, every customer is assigned precisely the division that has expert knowledge of all the business processes and details relating to the respective industry. Cross-project activities – such as developing IT infrastructures to match the solutions, or implementing organisational projects like CRM, archiving and workflow solutions, planning and installing Microsoft networks or Microsoft Office applications, or setting up company-wide communication networks – are carried out jointly by the departments in charge of those activities and the industry project teams. This means that projects can be realised more quickly, expertise can be assigned more effectively – and customers receive services that are perfectly in line with their requirements.

Historic perseverance
In an ever more complex working environment involving state-of-the-art communication structures, CABUS sees its number one task as using the latest technology for the benefit of its customers. CABUS quickly evolved into a group with branches all over northern Germany.
The company has had a presence in Lübeck since 1993. Three years on, the branch in Berlin was added, and the Bremen branch followed in 1997. CABUS has had an office in Düsseldorf since 2002, and another site, in Nuremberg, opened its doors in early 2005. CABUS Business Solutions can therefore offer nationwide services to its customers from six locations in Germany.

CABUS has made a name for itself by launching integrated systems, particularly among small and medium-sized companies. CABUS Business Solutions now sees itself as a one-stop shop for software, hardware and services. Assignments increasingly deal with organisational and business-related consulting services. What is the practical benefit of e-commerce, the Internet or Customer Relationship Management for small and medium-sized companies?

A seminal meeting
A fundamental decision on the alignment of the company was taken in 1991, when CABUS approached PC&C Vertriebs GmbH (Navision) – today, Microsoft Business Solutions. The complete business solution, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, was developed for small and medium-sized companies with up to approx. 150 users. Since 2001, CABUS has added Microsoft Dynamics AX for large international projects to its portfolio and implemented numerous projects for international companies. In the years since 1990, CABUS has effectively established itself as one of the largest German system vendors for individual and industry solutions based on Navision and Axapta. As a result of its close cooperation with the Microsoft Business Solutions division, CABUS added Microsoft CRM, developed in 2004, to its sales portfolio, enabling the company to specifically respond to customer enquiries regarding simple and efficient Customer Relationship Management requirements.

The Group currently has 130 employees and caters to 1,000 small and medium-sized customers, including 600 in the area of Navision and Axapta.
